It’s amazing these days how many different beers from all of the world that you can now get in the local supermarket. It has to be said that I’m a cask man and you can’t beat a proper pint in a pub atmosphere but you can’t go out every night and sometimes its nice to have a beer in the comfort of your own home.

The range of beer you can get now without needing to go to a specialist shop is phenomenal- granted not all of them are too my taste but I think its fantastic to have all of those options from so many different places. I like to try new beers and to be able to do that as part of your weekly shop is great and allows you to discover different beers. One of my favour bottled beers is Sierra Nevada Pale, how brilliant is it that I can easily get in most supermarkets a beer imported from several thousand miles away in California?
